The minority leader in parliament, Hon Haruna Iddrisu has announced that, the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) outrightly reject the flawed and discredited presidential elections results as declared by the Electoral Commission Chairman, Jean Mensah some hours ago.

Mr Iddrisu said the NDC took the decision to reject the results without any reservation after extensive consultation and crosschecking of the results as announced at the various constituency collation centers.

The party also served notice to the EC, the government and the security personnels to stop the blatant effort to deny the NDC of majority seats in parliament with the use of military and police to intimidate and change figures of the already collated results in favor of NDC will not be tolerated.

“In due time, John Mahama, the leader of NDC will be addressing the nation and the international community with factual evidence how the election results were defectively declared in favor of”, the minority leader said on Wednesday night when addressing the media after EC declaration.

The EC declared the 2020 presidential elections results on Wednesday in favor of the incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo representing the NPP with 6,730,413 votes with John Mahama who led the NDC getting 6,214,889 translating into percentages of 51.59% and 47.366% respectively.

These results, the NDC has strongly contested and even petitioned the EC before the declaration without the Madam Jean Mensah not addressing the concerns of the NDC’s petition.

According to NDC’s national collation agents, Madam Jean Mensah in attempt to carry out her diabolic agenda deliberately sent them to deliver a message to John Mahama concerning their contention of some of the region results, only for them to leave the EC’s national collation room to head towards Mr Mahama’s residence, then the EC starts to declare the results.
