Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson inaugurated the newly constituted Board of Directors of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), underscoring the paramount importance of agriculture in Ghana’s national development trajectory. With unwavering conviction,
Dr. Forson emphasized that “no country develops without sustained agricultural development,” highlighting the sector’s pivotal role in propelling economic growth and prosperity.
As the newly appointed board, led by Chairman Mr. Kenneth Kwamina Thompson and Managing Director Mr. Edward Ato Sarpong, embarks on its noble mandate, Dr. Forson charged them to remain laser-focused on the bank’s core mission of supporting Ghana’s agricultural sector.
He exhorted the board to be guided by their primary mandate, demonstrating unwavering commitment to the sector’s growth and development.
The distinguished members of the board, comprising seasoned professionals and experts in their respective fields, including Andrew Dari Chiwitey, Mr. Siisi Essuman-Ocran, Dr. E. Prince Arhin, Hon. Misbahu Mahama Adams, Wing Commander Samuel J.A. Allotey, Mr. Courage Akanwunge Asabagna, and Mr. Abdul Nasir M. Saani, are poised to drive the bank’s strategic objectives, leveraging their collective expertise to foster agricultural development and promote economic prosperity.
