The Ghana Free Zones Authority (GFZA) has reaffirmed its commitment to attracting export-oriented investments into Ghana through stronger international partnerships, following a courtesy call on the Hungarian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Tamás Endre Fehér, and his team.
During the meeting, the Chief Executive Officer of GFZA, Dr Mary Awusi, highlighted Hungary’s notable expertise in sectors such as advanced education and agriculture, which continue to support Ghana’s development.
He also outlined the numerous incentives available under the Free Zones Programme, including serviced land within designated enclaves for prospective Hungarian investors.
Ambassador Fehér expressed Hungary’s strong interest in investment opportunities in chemical materials, poultry production, training initiatives, and related sectors.
He assured the Authority of the Embassy’s readiness to collaborate in identifying and engaging Hungarian businesses eager to explore Ghana’s market.
Both sides agreed to hold a follow-up meeting to provide further clarity on the Free Zones scheme and its potential for Hungarian investors.
The two parties also resolved to enhance cooperation through participation in upcoming Hungarian business events in both Ghana and Hungary.
The CEO was accompanied by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Finance & Administration), Mr. Hamidu Sibiri Musah, along with other Directors of the Authority.
