The Reroy Group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Kate Quartey Papafio, has been conferred with an “Excellence in Business” award at the Ghana Women of the Year honors.
She received the award for her portrayal of courage and persisten
ce in the cable manufacturing industry, which is a male dominated business.
Currently, she is the only woman in Ghana and indeed Africa as a whole in the cable manufacturing industry with a distinct success story.
Receiving the award, Madam Kate Quatey Papafio thanked the event organizer, Glitz Ghana for the recognition and encouraged young and upcoming women to stay focused in their fields of endeavor.
She stressed that women are better managers than men in all spheres of life therefore nothing should stop them from achieving their goals.
The third edition of the award ceremony which took place over the weekend, is an annual event to celebrate Ghanaian women who are excelling in various fields of endeavour and contributing to make Ghana better.
Other women including the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Madam Charlotte Osei were honored in governance, entertainment, media, music & art, film, public enterprise for using their expertise, position and influence to inspire others to make a difference in driving other women forward.
