Alhaji Said Sinare dedicates birthday to NDC grassroots and branch executives, urges them not to give up

Ghana’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a stalwart of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has marked his birthday with a powerful message of hope, encouragement, and renewed commitment to the party’s grassroots, branch executives, and loyal supporters who continue to hold the NDC together across the country.

In a heartfelt statement shared on his official Facebook page, the former National Vice Chairman of the NDC said he had chosen not to celebrate himself on his birthday but to dedicate the day to “the true pillars and unsung heroes of the party”; including hardworking branch executives, committed ward coordinators, constituency and regional officers, and the ordinary grassroots members whose sacrifices have kept the NDC strong and relevant.

“Today, as I mark another year of life and purpose, I choose not to celebrate myself, but to dedicate this special day to the true pillars and unsung heroes of our great party; the hardworking branch executives, committed ward coordinators, tireless constituency officers, regional executives, and indeed, the grassroots members who continue to sacrifice in silence for the progress of our party and the success of our government,” he wrote.

Alhaji Sinare acknowledged the frustrations and disappointments of many party faithful who are yet to be recognized or rewarded for their sacrifices but urged them not to give up.

He described their loyalty and patience as the “strength and hope” that continues to fuel the NDC’s political vision.

“I am deeply aware that many of you are yet to be sorted, yet you have remained faithful, loyal, and hopeful. Your patience, resilience, and unrelenting dedication to the ideals of the NDC give me strength and hope every single day. On this special occasion, I appeal to your conscience; please, do not give up. Our journey is a collective one, and though the road may be long and uneven, the reward for sacrifice always comes in due time,” he added.

The veteran politician also offered a dose of political realism, reminding party members that it is impossible for everyone to receive appointments in government.

Instead, he called on grassroots members to redirect their energy and talents into entrepreneurship, business ventures, and opportunities presented by government programs.

“We must also remember a fundamental truth that not all of us can be appointed into government positions. This is not a reflection of anyone’s worth or contribution, but a reality of the system we operate in. However, that does not mean our journey ends there,” he stated.

Highlighting the numerous flagship initiatives under the leadership of former President John Dramani Mahama, Alhaji Sinare urged party members to take advantage of transformative programs such as Feed Ghana, National Apprenticeship Program, The Big Push, and the Women’s Development Bank to build sustainable livelihoods and support the country’s economic growth.

He concluded his birthday message with a strong reaffirmation of his commitment to the grassroots and a promise to continue amplifying their concerns at every level of leadership.

“On this birthday, I renew my personal commitment to stand with you, to fight for you, and to amplify your concerns at every level of leadership. Together, we shall build a stronger party, a fairer society, and a future where no grassroots worker is left behind,” he declared.

Alhaji Said Sinare ended his message with a rallying call of solidarity, describing the NDC grassroots as the “backbone of the party” and expressing confidence that their sacrifices will eventually yield results.

“Happy birthday to us; the backbone of the NDC. May our sacrifices never be in vain… Ahooooooooo!!!”

The statement has since received widespread praise on social media, with many grassroots members and party activists lauding the Ambassador’s humility, leadership, and deep connection to the rank-and-file of the NDC.
