The grassroots members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have expressed their enthusiasm and support for Edudzi Tamaklo, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
This comes after Tamaklo’s sterling performance in first year at NPA has been hailed as a turning point towards transforming Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
Tamaklo, a seasoned legal professional and former Director of Legal Affairs for the NDC, has been credited with driving transformative change in the NPA. His leadership has been marked by a commitment to transparency, accountability, and sustainability, earning him recognition as a champion of good governance.
The Energy Minister, John Abdulai Jinapor, has previously praised Tamaklo’s leadership, urging NPA staff to rally behind him and support his efforts to drive transformation and transparency in the petroleum downstream sector.
His attention to party faithfuls and the media has also been acknowledged as excellent inspite of his busy schedules.
The NDC’s grassroots have pledged their unwavering support and prayers for his success.
“Tamaklo leadership has been remarkable so far. He has time for party members”, a regional communications officer has commented.
Another party member said “Tamaklo’s extensive academic qualifications, professional expertise, and grassroots connection make him an ideal fit for the role.”
Under Tamaklo’s leadership, the NPA has achieved several key milestones, including streamlined licensing of stations, enhanced collaboration with industry stakeholders, and efforts to clamp down on illegal fuel stations. The NPA is also working towards implementing a 24-hour economy pilot project in Osu, aimed at fueling round-the-clock commerce and boosting economic growth.
Edudzi Tamaklo’s leadership has been widely welcomed, and his commitment to good governance and transformative change is expected to have a positive impact on Ghana’s petroleum sector.
