The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) marked its 20th anniversary with a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, at the Kanda Mosque in Accra.

Godwin Edudze Tamakloe, CEO of NPA, who led the delegation expressed gratitude for the Muslim community’s support and cooperation over the years.

During the visit, Mr. Tamakloe highlighted the NPA’s appreciation for the National Chief Imam and the Muslim community’s contributions to the authority’s achievements. He emphasized the importance of maintaining peaceful coexistence and mutual respect among employees from diverse backgrounds.

“We are here to offer our sincere gratitude to the National Chief Imam and the entire Muslim community for the harmony we enjoy in the Authority, both in our offices and in all our operations,” Mr. Tamakloe said.

The CEO noted that the NPA has made efforts to accommodate Muslim employees, including allowing them to observe Ramadan without hindrance. He emphasized the importance of creating a supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected.

In response, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu expressed gratitude to the NPA leadership for their visit and commended the organization for promoting harmony, dignity, and equal treatment. He offered blessings and prayed for the NPA’s continued growth, sound judgment, and spiritual support.

The visit is part of the NPA’s seven-day anniversary celebrations, which include meetings with stakeholders, press briefings, and an assessment of the authority’s progress since its inception in 2005.
